About House of Hope North Charleston

Founded in 2017, House of Hope is a faith-driven, community-based initiative dedicated to meeting the growing needs of families and individuals facing food insecurity in North Charleston, South Carolina. What began as a small outreach serving just 45 individuals a month has now flourished into a lifeline for nearly 3,500 people each month, providing consistent access to nutritious food and hope for a better tomorrow.

Our mission

At the heart of our mission are two vital programs — the Food Pantry and Feed the Sheep Ministry — both established to ensure that no one in our community goes hungry. Through these initiatives, we serve as a critical safety net for low-income households, seniors, and those living in food desert areas impacted by unemployment, inflation, and economic hardship.
